SOLDIERS’ ADDRESSES.

TO THE EDITOU. Sir,—l was amused at the local in this evening’s paper on the men notifying the Drill Hall of their change of address. My husband was out there no less than four times to notify his change of address, but all he got for his bother was, “ We are not interested in addresses.” His fifth attempt was at the Post Office, where he finally succeeded. He received a notice one Friday to proceed to camp ou the Monday aml he should have had the notice 10 days previously. So he had to put up with short notice because the Army “ wasn't interested.” 1 should like to know whose fault it is that these scores of men have not notified their change of address. If they had the same Luther as my husband, it is no wonder. —I am, etc., Soldier’s Wife. January 15. [Wh ile the Army authorities admit that during the recent rush of work and changing of offices some slip may have occurred through members of the staff, which is under strength, being unduly harassed, it is pointed out that there is a pad on the inquiry desk at the Records Office solely for the purpose of recording changed addresses. The topmost form js filled in by the person concerned, and it is then recorded by an officer, who in turn advises ali departments likely to he interested. There is no need for any person to interview any of the clerks on this matter; the lilling-in of the form is all that is required.—Fcl. E.S.]
