LADIES' BRASS BAND

A very large attendance was present at the Gardens yesterday, when the Ladies’ Brass Band gave its first municipal concert. The band, under Mr Hilmer Davie, gave a good performance, and ( the various items were much appreciated. Assisting artist* wore Miss Dons Darracott, who sang ‘ When You Come Home ’ and * Keep the Home Fires Burning ’; Mr Arthur Macdonald (president of the Kaikorai Band) was heard in the new song, tWhen the Home Guards Are on Parade,’ and ‘ Legion of the Lost. Miss Ruby White Was at the piano. The collection amounted to just on £2l.
