OTAGO CROQUET ASSOCIATION

The monthly meeting of the_ Otago Croquet Association was held in the Caledonian Society Board Room on Thursday, when Mrs W. E. Gibson, vice-president, presided over a fair attendance. A letter was received from the Logan Park Club granting the use of their pavilion and lawns for the forthcoming tournaments. A request from the Patriotic Women’s Committee for support in the “ silver thimble ” campaign was favourably received and referred to the clubs to deal with. Arrangements were made in connection with the South Island tournament in January, and the Otago tournament which will be held in February. Days were allotted various clubs for help in the pavilion during the tournaments, delegates to notify those concerned. The next meeting of delegates will be held on February 3, 1942. The season’s greetings were extended to the delegates and the chair.
