FATAL FALL. Joffre James John McLelland (24), single, employed by the Public Works on the Arapuni lino extension to Manawatu, broke his neck yesterday while pig hunting in the Knitieko district. While chasing a pig deceased tripped and dived headlong between two trees growing close together. His parents reside at Rotorua.—Taumarunui Press Association. CHILD FALLS INTO FIRE. George Huband, a child, aged two years, residing at 22 Clarendon street, was admitted to hospital at 1.45 p.m. to-day suffering from burns to the hands and face, received when he fell into a fire at his h6me.
