BIG MOVE IMMINENT AH ITALIAN REPORT LONDON, September 27. Deporting big concentrations of British troops in Egypt, the Milan correspondent of the ‘ I’opolo d’ltalia ' says tliat important operations in North Africa are imminent. Axis planes are constantly bombing the road between Jarabub and the Siwa oasis, over which there are considerable movements of British forces. The ‘ New York Times ’ Cairo correspondent says the Axis is trying to got ships across the Mediterranean, and is simultaneously bombing the Suez Canal night after night in an attempt to plug the stream of munitions flowing in an ever-increasing volume from the United States and the Empire. For all its activities, the Axis has not closed the canal or paralysed the ports. CONFLICT IH CHINA OCCUPATION OF CHANGSHA A JAPANESE CLAIM SHANGHAI, September 27. The Japanese army spokesman. Colonel Akiyama, officially announced that the Japanese completed the occupation of Changsha on Saturday evening. Colonel Akiyama is conducting foreign correspondents, to Changsha on Mondav to inspect the city and the front lines of the lighting in Hunan. GERMAN BROADCASTS GHOST VOICE INTERVENES AGAIN LONDON, September 29. The ghost voice ,gate-crashed German broadcasts last night, and it could not be silenced. The voice told the German people that Hitler was a traitor. He kept his dupes in the dark as to the great losses on the Russian front. Tho Nazi hordes, the voice maintained, were now finding out that war was hell.
