R.S.A. MEMBERSHIP

OPEN TO ALL BRANCHES OF FIGHTING FORGES (P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 18. The Dominion Executive of the Unturned Soldiers’ Association lias decided to issue a statement pointing out that the constitution includes-.as members any of His Majesty’s forces (Naval, Army, Air Force, Merchant Navy, and Nursing Service). The only provisos are:, that'a member shall have served overteas from the place of his enlistment in any war waged by the Crown, and that he shall have been honourably discharged. This statement arose out of reports that men of some of the fighting services had misunderstood the reason for ; the decision not to alter the name of tho association. The opinion had been expresesd that delegates at the council meeting had not considered the feeling of members of other branches of tho service. It was pointed out that all of the 92 affiliated associations welcomed to full active membership nurses, naval men. airmen, and men of the Merchant Navy, as well as soldiers. Many were already members, and occupied •xecutiv.eli.positibns au the • associations.
