According to a statement by the Dominion organiser of the All Purposes Appeal there is still the best part of £40,000 to be raised by Wednesday to fill the Wellington metropolitan quota of £IOO,OOO. The latest Dominion total is £747,650, made up as follows :-r-Auckland, £170,000; Wellington, £150,000; Canterbury, £102,500; Otago, £79,000; Hawke’s Bay, £54,200; Taranaki, £70,000; Nelson, £37,300; East Coast, £26,700; Southland, £25,800; Marlborough, £18,900; Westland, £13,250.
