IMPRESSMENT OF 303 RIFLES

Attention is drawn to the public notice appearing in the advertising columns. It is understood that registered owners of .303 rifles will receive individual notices early next week, but the Prime Minister, in a recent statement, made it quite clear that failure to receive a notice does not exonerate a person from the necessity for handing in his rifle. It has also been clearly indicated that all .305 rifles must be handed in, whether they are registered or unregistered, whether they are serviceable or unserviceable, and whether they are owned by the holders merely held on behalf of some other person.
