SENTRY FALLS ON BAYONET. An unusual accident in the early hours of yesterday morning resulted in the admission to hospital at 1 o’clock of Private Alexander Burrows, a young married man, residing at Broad Bay. He was on sentry duty in the area of the oil tanks when he suspected the presence of a trespasser. He issued a challenge, then tripped- and fell on th« bayonet of his rifle, inflicting a wound in his neck. FALL FROM CYCLE. Leslie Booth, a youth, residing at Leith Valley, fell from his bicycle near Ash burn Hall last evening, receiving facial abrasions. He was admitted to the Dunedin Hospital at 7.45.
