RAGING IN AUSTRALIA BEAU VITE'S BRILLIANT WIN Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, April 19. A feature of to-day’s final meeting at Randwick was Beau Vite’s strong finishing effort in the A.J.C. Plate, of two miles and a-quarter, which he won like the champion that ho is. He wore clown the speedy Tranquil Star, who set a fast pace over the final mile and careered right away to win by three lengths. Beau Vito pulled up well and returned to Scale placidly and far from distressed. Gold Salute was unable to repeat his spectacular effort of Wednesday in to-day’s Cropper Plate, in which he was beaten meritoriously by the Lord Quex mare ■ Amiable. The attendance was very large and the weather glorious. The course was in good order, but rather on the soft side. The principal results were as follows; THE C. W. CROPPER PLATE, £1,250.
