ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
FARMER FATALLY INJURED, Thomas Hioks Ivey, a well-known farmer of Kingsclowu, near Timaru, died as the result of injuries lie received when a truck which he was driving left the road land struck a light pole near Pleasant Point last night. His daughter, who was a passenger, was admitted to hospital suffering from injuries. FATAL FALL FROM CYCLE. , When he was riding his cycle to work this morning John Donaldson, a man in hsi early thirties, sustained injuries from a fall which proved fatal. He was brought to hospital in an unconscious condition at 8 a.m. to-day, with severe injuries to his head and face. He was picked up at the corner of William street, at the top end of Stafford street. As far as is known there were no witnesses of the accident, but he is thought to have hit a post. The deceased lived at 26 Carson street, Mornington. He died in hospital at 12.20. FOOTBALLER’S HEAD INJURY. Stewart Robinson, who lives at 314 Main North road, received head injuries while he was playing football at Seacliff yesterday. He is 24 years of age. He was admitted to the Dunedin Hospital at 6 p.m.
