CIVIC AFFAIRS

CITY COUNCIL MEETING The fortnightly meeting of the City Council was held last night. The mayor (Mr A. HV Allen) presided, and there were Crs D. C. Cameron, W. hi. Borne, J. Wilson, U. Walls, J. M‘Crae, D. G. M'Millan, M.P., and E. J. Smith. The meeting was proceeded by a sitting of the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board, formal business being transacted., Cr J. Wilson and Mr F. Wilkinson were reappointed representatives of the city and of the city suburban areas respectively on the Dunedin Ocean Beach Domain Board. The clause in the Bescrvo Committee’s report referring to the revised charges proposed to he made L'oin the opening of the additional nine holes at the Municipal Coif Liukkh’ on the Ocean Beach Domain, was _ referred hack to the committee. Cr Smith intimating that a deputation of club members intended writing on the clause requesting a reconsideration of the charges.
