TERMS FOR DOMINION STATUS SOUGHT BOMBAY, March 13. (Received March 14, at 12.15 p.rn.) A conference of moderate politicians from all parties except the Congress and the Muslim League passed a resolution congratulating Britain on her successes in the ' Near East and the courageousness of the people of the United Kingdom. It requested Britain to state more clearly the terms on which dominion status can be achieved so that India can more enthusiastically support the war effort. A resolution demanded reconstitution of the Viceroy’s Executive Council on a more popular basis, particularly asking that the department’s defence and finance should be under the control of experienced members. Kunwar Prasad convened the conference and Sapru presided.
