SCRAP STEEL
FURNACES AND MILL TO BE PROCURED OHEKAKA PUNT TO BE OPERATED [Pee United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, March 12. The Government has authorised its advisers in Britain, Messrs Brnssort and Co., to purchase as quickly as possible electric furnaces and a rolling mill with the object of utilising scrap steel in the Dominion. To ensure security in supplies of pig iron the present plant at Onekaka is to he reconditioned and operated.
