I'lio medical superintendent, Dr 11. J. B. Hall, was conducting an operation at the time, but in spite of the sensational interruption members of the staff proceeded with their work and completed tho operation. Fortunately no ono was in the room whore the explosion occurred. The exploding water unit went rocketing through the ceiling, and the tiled roof, and although the nurses were showered with splintered glass, none received even a scratch.
