ROTARY CONFERENCE

N.Z. MEMBERSHIP NOW 1,462 [Peb United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, March 11. Because of the war, the nineteenth conference of the Rotary Clubs of New Zealand is being confined largely to business, and many of the social activities usually associated with the assembly have been eliminated. The official opening took place to-day by the mayor, Mr Hislop, Mr D. A. Ewen presiding. Mr Erven said the number of clubs was 26 and the membership 1,462.
