HIGH CASTE-BEAU VITE CLASHES SYDNEY, March 10. (Received March 11, at 8 a.m.) The forthcoming autumn meeting of the Australian Jockey Club is awaited with considerable interest owing to the likely presence of High Caste, fresh from his Victorian triumphs, and also the New Zealander, Beau Vite, who is expected to clash with High Caste in the Rawson Stakes at Rosehill throe weeks hence. Beau Vite, who will he ridden in all his engagements by Ted M’Menamin, is doing well on the tracks. The pair may meet again a week later in the Chipping Norton Stakes. The star two-year-olds All Love and Yaralla should furnish an added attraction at the Easter racing carnival. Mr W. J. Smith, who bought Ajax at Melbourne on Friday, has now purchased the imported sire Manitoba (4,000g5) for the St. Aubin’s Stud. Mr A. W. Thompson, owner of the Widden Stud, where Ajax was bred, announces that he has acquired a half-interest in Ajax, who is going back to Widden, and not to St. Aubin’s Stud, as cabled on Saturday. Handicaps were issued to-night for the principal events at the A.J.C. meeting.
