FIRE ON TRAWLER

TWO CABINS GUTTED Two small cabins in the steam trawler Hananui, the property of th# National Mortgage and Agency Co., were gutted at Port Chalmers last evening. The Port Fire Bridage prevented the blaze from spreading through the vessel. The outbreak, which apparently started in the engineer’s room or the cabins,' was luckily reported ■ before the flames had too strong a hold. The Hananui was to go into dock for over* haul on Tuesday.
