CLOSING IN
GETTING READY FOR BATTLE MONTEVIDEO, December 9. (Received December 10, at 11.45 a.m.) Unofficial reports are circulating that the Enterprise has closed in with the German raider and is ready for battle. It was previously reported that the Carnarvon Castle officers had received word from the Enterprise that she had sighted and was overtaking the raider.
