RESIGNATION OF TREASURER DIFFERENCE ON WAR ATTITUDE [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, December 6. hi connection with the resignation of the treasurer of the Democratic Labour Party, Mr A. H. Carman, which was announced yesterday, the following statement has been issued by the secretary of the party, Mr F. M. I'.arJo: “It is quite correct that Mr Carman has resigned as treasurer of the Democratic Labour Party. Apart from any other reason, Mr Carman did not see his way clear to endorse the party s war attitude. White respecting the sincere pneifist, the Deiiiocrutic Ln-bonr Party is most definitely concerned with the necessity for supporting New Zealand’s war effort against Nazism and Fascism.”
