Apart from any other reason, Mr Carman did not see his way clear to endorse the party s war attitude. White respecting the sincere pneifist, the Deiiiocrutic Ln-bonr Party is most definitely concerned with the necessity for supporting New Zealand’s war effort against Nazism and Fascism.”
