Lieutenant-commander Salt, captain of the Triad, also served on the Seaborn The Triad daringly penetrated Oslo in April and sank a 4,000-ton supply ship and torpedoed two others nine days later. NEW ZEALAND AIR CASUALTIES [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, December 2. The following casualties were officially announced to-night:— Sergeant Frederic Jack Newman. R.N.Z.A.F., missing on operations; father, Mr G. M. Newman, 39 Alberton Avenue, Mount Albert Auckland, Pilot Officer Leonard Terence Jervis Ryan, killed on air operations; father, Mr T. J. Ryan, 125 Lemon street, New Plymouth. Pilot Officer Edward Read Osborn, missing on air operations; father, late Mr S. H. Osborn, 42 Hefiot Row, Dunedin.
