INDO-GHINA AND THAILAND INVADERS REPULSED BY FRENCH FORCES VICHY, November 27. (Received November 28, at noon.) It is officially announced that hostilities between Thailand and French IndoChina began on November 23 along the Cambodian frontier when French forces thrice repulsed Siamese attempting to throw a pontoon bridge across the Caustung River. INTERNED ALIENS SPECIAL PIONEER CORPS (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, November 26. The Government’s policy with regard to interned aliens of enemy nationality was announced in the House of Commons by the Secretary for Home Security, Mr Herbert Morrison. It is mainly directed towards those men who are of military age, and for this purpose an auxiliary military pioneer corps is considered the best method of dealing with such men as wish to show their loyalty to the Allied cause. Internees who are eligible for the Pioneer Corps have volunteered. Mr Morrison hopes to set up within the next few weeks a tribunal to consider the release of men who, by reason of age or physical unfitness, are ineligible for the Pioneer Corps, provided they can satisfy the tribunal that they are opposed to the Nazi or the Fascist system, and are loyal to the Allied cause.
