ITALIANS HARRIED. LONDON, November 27. Harried by the Greek army and tbe British and Greek air forces, the Italians to-day continued their retreat on the northern and central sectors but apparently reinforcements on the southern sector have stiffened their resistance against repeated Greek attacks aiming at the encirclement of Argyrokastron, where Italian evacuation was prematurely reported. While the pursuit is most rapid and the quantity of abandoned material is greatest on the northern sector, it is the front from Argyrokastron to the sea which is at present attracting most interest. According to the ‘ Daily Telegraph’s ’ Athens correspondent, the Greek forces are clearly near very Argyrokastron, the aerodrome of which is out of action. This is the last of Italy’s advanced air bases in Albania. Thus the strategical position at Argyrokastron is critical for the Italians in view of any probable attempt to re-establish the front. LEAGUE OF NATIONS CASE. Legal argument was concluded this afternoon in the case in which the validity of benefits payable to the League of Nations Union as a charitable institution was questioned in relation to terms in the wil of the late Mr H. K. Wilkinson. His Honour Mr Justice Kenned}’ reserved his decision. OFFICIAL INQUIRY.
