DIED IN AMBULANCE. Albert Edward Boyes, retired, of 7 Hallswell road, was struck last evening by a motor vehicle, which' did not stop, in Cambridge Terrace, and died in the ambulance on his way to the hospital.— Wellington Press Association. CHILD BURNT, Graharp-Craik, a child, residing at 59 Kirkcaldy street, was admitted to the Hospital at 1 p.m., suffering from burns to his hands and face, received when he fell into an open fire while playing in the sitting room of his home.
