—Ministerial.— Hon. F. Jones, Minister of Defence* arrived by the express from the northi this afternoon. On arrival he left to pay a visit of inspection to the Royal New Zealand Air Force Station at North Taieri. This evening the Minister will be present on the saluting basa in the Octagon, when the Air Forca Band and members of the Air Forca from the Taieri Station march past ou their way to the band concert in the Town Hall. To-morrow morning Mr Jones will inspect the camp of the Isfl Field Regiment, New Zealand Artillery, at WTngatui, and later will review, tha Ist Battalion, Southland Regiment, ou Hancock Park. Hon. M. Connelly, M.L.C., left this morning for Timaru. Mr N. Oram left by the 11.35 train! this morning for Christchurch. Mr P. S. Glasson, accountant of tli<* Dunedin branch of the Bank of Australasia, leaves for Gore next week to taka over the management of the bank's business there. Dr A. C. Begg, who recently completed three years’ post-graduate world in surgery in England, has returned ta Dunedin. - ■- The Rev. Brian Kilroy, of St. Am* drew’s ■ Church, Wellingtohj has returned after two months in Sydney, where he supplied the pulpit of Scot* Church. Sir Clutlia Mackenzie, who spent tha first eight months of the war on a waf mission to India, Burma, and Malaya, has accepted an invitation to visit tha United States in connection with Red Cross activities and the St. Dunstan’a. Hostel for Blinded Soldiers, London. He leaves New Zealand towards the end of this month, accompanied hy_ Ida daughter, Miss Betty Mackenzie.—Auckland Association message.
