Here is an unusual puzzle. It is an intelligence test. Read the directions carefully, then write a little letter to Big Brother Bill giving your answer to the question. Address your letter to Big Brother Bill, care of ‘ Evening Star,’ Stuart street, Dunedin, C.l. . Mark the envelope “ Competition.”
An amusing intelligence test, which will at the same time find out who of you are good at mechanics. Take a look at the drawing; it represents a machine! The question to be solved is: When ■ the handle on the left is turned in the direction of the arrow, will the weight go up or down?
