ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL CONFERENCE fPer United Press Association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, November 6. For the first time in the history of the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand and the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce the annual conference of the association is being held in New Plymouth. The proceedings commenced this morning with the official opening and welcome to the delegates. There was a very large attendance of delegates and visitors and many representatives of the business community of Tn ran alii, including quite a largo number of ladies. The Mayor of Now Plymouth (Mr E. Gilmour) presided, and extended a welcome to visitors on behalf of New Plymouth. Associated with him were Mr F. L. Frost, M.P., Mr Gordon Fraser (president of the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce), and Mr W. S. Macgibbon (president of the Associated Chambers of Commerce).
