Sime won his way to the final of the light-weight class by hard and accurate pinioning in both his contests, and the oilier finalist is J. 13. Leckie, a rangy type of fighter. J. J. Hamilton and I’. G. Bister won their way to the school championship linnl, the former engaging in two particularly willing encounters, in which lie proved the value of a good left hand. J.' M. Crawford, winner of the welterweight class showed himself to be a shifty boxer, and Iv Cleveland, who outpointed J S. Douglas in the bantam-weight linnl. gave a clever display. Douglas also boxing smartly. W R Sparrow won I lie featherweight class. Mr J P Northey was ihe referee, and Messrs D Murray and W. Bang were the judges. Results;— BANTAM-WEIGHT J. S. Douglas ami P. \V M'Phersoi! proved to bo smart little two-handed boxers, both indulging in good straight hilling. Douglas led, blocked, and countered cleverly to take the decision. K. J. Cleveland had the bye. —Finable. J. Cleveland and J. S. Douglas gave a clever display, both boys bitting cleanly and accurately., There was very little between them, but Cleveland gained the decision. FEATHER-WEIGHT. W. R. Sparrow boat J. D. Guy on points after an evenly-contested bout. Guy failed to make full use of his height and reach, and relied mainly on his right, Sparrow scoring with both hands and placing Ins punches to better effect.

LIGHT-WEIGHT. A. G. Hay outranged R. Rawlings, and taking the fight to his opponent did the cleaner work with both hands to the head. Rawlings scored with an occasional straight left, but Hay won by a good margin. A. H. Sime won from W. I. Laing by a knock-out in the first round, a < right-cross to the jaw flooring Laing for the full count. J. Purdie gave a good display to' outpoint a taller opponent in W. A. Penrose. The winner punched hard, Penrose lacking judgment of timing and distance. Making good use of a raking left, J. B. Leckio beat L. R. Butterfield on points. —Semi-finals.— Scoring with both hands from all. angles, A. H. Sitne was a little too good for A. G. Hay, Sime consistently beating his opponent to the punch. Hay was always ready to mix it, but was prone to drop his guard, Sime taking full advantage of the openings. Sime won on points. J. B. Leckie outpointed J. Purdio after a good mill. Purdie packed the heavier wallop, but ho did not. follow up his advantage in the second round, Leckie making persistent use of a straight left to the head to take the decision. WELTER-WEIGHT. I. A. Johnston and R. B, Johnston were a well-matched pair, and in a lively mill I. A. secured the decision. J. M. Crawford disposed of J. E. Tipler by a knock-out in the first round-. —Final.— J. M. Crawford outpointed I. A. Johnston, the winner indulging in clean straight hitting with both hands and making good use of the ring. Johnston landed, some telling blows, but his timing was not so good as that of his opponent. SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIP. J. J. Hamilton beat C. J. Mowat on points after one of the best contested bouts of the afternoon. Hamilton had an advantage in height and reach, but both lads indulged m good straight work, there being little between them. G. F. Swan won a willing encounter against D. Simpson, but the decision might have gone either way. P. G. Lester outpointed H. Thomson in a bright bout, the winner using a snappyleft and solid right. Thomson was inclined to fight off balance,’and Lester had something to spare at the finish. —Semi-final.— J. J. Hamilton beat G. F. Swan ou points after a willing mill. Hamilton tvas the taller and rangier, but Swan endeavoured to fight at close quarters, Hamtl(on driving him out by means of a good left hand.
