Isabella Christina Owens proceeded against George Henry Lewis and Elizabeth Lewis claiming £O7 18s 3d for costs of repair to a dwelling house at St. Clair arising out ot an alleged bread; of a tenancy agreement entered into between the parties on May 17, 1937. Mi B. S. Irwin represented the plaintiffs, wli ilc Mr 0. G. Stcecns appeared fur the defendants. Plaintiff in her statement of claim set out that under the terms of the tenancy agreement, defendants were to maintain the property in good order. Sbo alleged defendants neglected the lawns, paths,, and garden, and allowed the hedges to become unkempt, bhc claimed £4O cost of cutting hedges, renewing and redressing lawns. £24 las as the cost of filling in and repairing border at the entrance to the promises, and £3 3s 3d for sundry repairs to the house. Evidence in support to her claim was given by Isabella Christina Owens, and a number of other witnesses who detailed the allegedly unkept condition of the property when the Lewis’s left The case was proceeding at the luncheon adjournment.
