TAIERI COUNTY COUNCIL

MONTHLY MEETING Cr George Slevensou (chairman) presided at the monthly meeting of the Taieri County Council. Mr J. B. Taverner (Brighton) drew attention to the dangerous state of a bridge on White Bridge road.—On the inspector’s recommendation it was decided to close the bridge to motor traffic. The need for attention to the blind corner on the road on the north side of Scott’s Hill, Berwick, was mentioned in a letter from the South Taieri Farmers' Union.—lt was decided to hold the work over till funds were available.

It was decided to close to heavy traffic that portion of the Dunedin-Duke’s road highway between the Flagstaff road and the Whare Flat road until tho chip coat of the main road had been completed; excessive wear to the priming coat being manifest. °

It was decided to repair the decking of Henley Bridge.
