COMMUNIST "DEALT WITH"
Frederick Threlfall, aged 60, lias two sons in tho forces. One was with the B.E.F. m Flanders. There has been no word of him. The father, worrying about the war, stood listening to a Communist . speaker. The speech irritated him He took the law into his own hands and went behind the speaker. Then he tipped the platform. The speaker was shot out among the audience. . . .
“ To listen to a young man inciting other young fellows to refuse to help their country made my blood boil,” said Threlfall at Clerkenwell Police Court, London. “ 1 tried to get a white leather for him, but failed. I lifted his stand only a few inches and the law of gravity happened to precipitate him into his audience.” Threlfall pleaded not guilty to a charge of insulting behaviour, The magistrate (Mr J. W. H. Brodrick) bound him over.
