PARLIAMENT

70-DAY S SITTING THE FINANCE BILL NO. 2 [From Our Parliamentary Reporter.] WELLINGTON, August 28. The House of Representatives resumed its sitting to-day with a slender Order Paper. Members will appreciate the introduction of the Finance Bill, No. 2, which is expected to-morrow, as it may contain more important legislation than that at present under consideration. The only Government measure on today’s Order Paper is the Local Legislation Bill, but it is likely that the Statutes Law Amendment Bill will be reported from the Select Committee today and discugsed.
