AGAIN BLIGH
Frank Llovd intends to add another chapter to the film biography of Captain Bligh, the central figure in ‘Mutiny of the Bounty.’ He is seeking Charles Laughton, who played Bligh in ‘Mutiny of the (Bounty,’ to continue in the role.
Made in 1935, ‘Mutiny of the Bounty ’ was one of Lloyd’s great achievements. He seems to have another subject in which his talents and interests are at high point in ‘ The Howards of Virginia,’ which he is making for Columbia. When this is done lie will go to Universal on an independent basis and ‘ Captain Bligh ’ will he his first endeavour. It will deal with Biigh’s career as Governor of New South Wales.

The result can be imagined, and mutual recriminations become the order of the day, until the bibulous photographer saves the situation and their reputations by an ingenious solution.
This .is comedy at its best, .and to do full justice to it an excellent east has been selected, including Mrs John Hamer, Tsa Duff. Mrs Lance Griffiths, Betty MThail, Alice Clarke, Irene Hill, Kathleen Noes, Messrs Wilson-Brown, Fred Avent, Bernard Sullivan, Maurice .lames, W. 'll. Brugh, Richard White, Glen Herbert, and Leslie Dunbar. The play will be produced by Miss Bessie Thomson from September 4-7 inclusive. Although the play is sponsored by the Dunedin Repertory Society, all tbe proceeds will go to the provincial patriotic fund.
Constance Bennett is the latest addition to Columbia Pictures’ stellar contract list, according to an announcement made by president Harry Cohn. Miss Bennett,’ fresh from a highly successful season in the theatre, was signed on a long-term contract- which gives Columbia exclusive right to her services.
Ten actors, with an aggregate age of seven months, worked on the sound stage at Columbia studios, where ‘ Babies For Sale ’ is being filmed, with Rochelle Hudson, Glenn Ford, and Isabel Jewel in starring roles. The infants, from Hollywood hospitals, were limited to 20 minutes on the set.
