Discharged from the Army on tin ground of physical unfitness, Mr A. P( F. Chapman, England's former crickei captain, is now engaged on “ work ol national importance.” Zeal on the pari I of those looking for spies or “ fifth columnists ’’ has caused him to ba stopped and interviewed by the polica as many as five times in one day. Pari of his duties consists of visiting wild stretches of country in the Home conn* ties spying out the land for possible sites. He travels alone by car, and when he sees a piece of likely country he pulls tip. Getting out of his car, he proceeds to “ prospect.” Keen observers hafa spotted his suspicious movements and reported them. ‘ Daily Telegraph, ? London.
