September 7. —Port Chalmers-Dunedin harrier road race; Otago v. Canterbury (women's basketball), at Dunedin. September 21.—Modified marathon road race (14 miles), at Mosgiel. October 19, —New Zealand amateur road cycling championship, at Dunedin. December 7. —Otago marathon championship (26 miles 385 yards).
