Disturbed in his sleep by noises, a man jumped from Ins bed and opened the window. He heard a trolley-bus conductor using rather strong language about the black-out. “ What’s wrong? ” be shouted. “ Nothing much,” replied the excited conductor. “ I’ve only been trying to hook this pole on for about fifteen minutes.” “ Oh,” exclaimed the sleeny one, “ you want to irv the main road. Buses don’t •nn down here.”
