APPEAL FOR SOLDIERS' PARCELS The annual community sing for children will be held in the Town Hall on Monday, when the proceeds will be used to provide Christmas parcels for soldiers. A parcel, including a Christmas cake, a" plum pudding, and chocolate, costs 10s. Big Brother Bill is arranging the programme, which will include items by the Johnson quadruplets and piano accordion solos by Billy Murphy, who is eight years old. Mr Alf. Pettitt will be at the piano. Donations may bo sent to Mr J. F. Himburg at Begg’s.
