TUESDAY, JULY 9. Australian States, at 9 a.m, (Parcels close at 8 a.m. Surface transport.) ’ Overseas mails are despatched as opportunity offers, TRANSPACIFIC AIR MAIL. The chief postmaster advises that the flight of the transpacific air mail carrying . mails will commence from Auckland on July 20, and fortnightly thereafter. The closing time at Dunedin has been fixed for 9.30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17. The rate for each half-ounce for letters for each of the countries is as follows: New Caledonia, Is; Hawaii, 2s 6d; United States of America, 4s; and Great Britain, 6s 3d.
