PRUNING

LAST WEEK'S DEMONSTRATION Last week a pruning demonstration was held in the vinery of Mr G. Adess. There was a good attendance. Growers from Port Chalmers and llavensbourne and a visitor from Christchurch making inquiries about vine cultivation were among' those present. These vines are in splendid condition, and last season carried 260 bunches of very fine grapes. Mr Thompson moved a vote of thanks to Mr and Mrs Adess for their hospitality in providing afternoon tea and for their offer of this very fine vinery for demonstration purposes. Several persons. present commented on the valuable information that they had received.
