HOLDEN—COCKERELL

Tho marriage was solemnised on. the morning of June 6 at St. Joseph s Cathedral, Dunedin, of Gerald, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J• O. Holden, of Omakau, to Enid, second daughter of Mr and Mrs 11. J. Cockerell, of Dunedin. The Rev. Father Lpughnan performed tho ceremony, which was followed by nuptial mass. Mrs Mitchell presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a white georgette gown over satin, featuring a fine lace yoke, long, . tight-fitting sleeves coming to a point over the wrists, and a very full skirt. Her embroidered Brussels laee veil was held in place with a halo of orange blossom. She was attended by her sister, Miss Noreen Cockerell, who wore’ a Victorian frock of floral satin, in shades of cyclamen and lemon; this featured a ruched bodice, full skirt, and a bustle. Her chic little toque was of cyclamen silk velvet, trimmed with marabout feathers. She carried a bouquet of cyclamen and lavender chrysanthemums. The bridegroom was attended by Mr E. Boland as best man. At a reception held later at the Rialto the guests were received by the bride’s mother, assisted by the bridegroom’s mother. The bride and bridegroom left for Wellington next day.
