FINE AND MILDER The following weather forecast was issued at noon by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, covering the southern districts:— Light north-easterly to northerly winds, later freshening somewhat. Weather fair and milder, but scrao light frosts inland and morning fogs on the coast. Conditions possibly becoming unsettled in the west after about 24 hours. Seas slight. LOCAL REPORT. Maximum temperature to-day, 55.5 deg. Maximum yesterday (24 hours), 60.2 deg. Minimum to-day, 50.6 deg. Minimum yesterday, 44.Sdeg. Barometric pressure at 1 p.ra., steady at 30in (1,016 millibars).
