IN LAPLAND. —Reports have been received of military activities in the Narvik area. This district is in the area stretching across the northern part of Scandinavia and known as Lapland, For the greater part of the year the only effective method of transport is the sleigh drawn by reindeer. At normal times a regular courier service is conducted by this moans, this picture showing some “ postmen ” on their journeying.
