INDUCTION OF MINISTER
On Wednesday the Rev. ]3. MV Tasker was installed as the minister of Wesley Church, Cargill road, the Rev. Basil 'Metson, of Trinity Church, conducting the.ceremony. The induction address .was given, by the Rev. A. E. Jefferson, of • the Lhmdas Street Church. .The choir, was led by Mr G James, and Miss G. Syder was the 'organist. ' At the conclusion of the-service- the congregation adjourned to the schoolroom, where a welcome was extended to Mr and Mrs Tasker. Mr A. T. M'lndoe presided, and words of welcome were spoken by Mr J. T. Barclay (circuit steward), Mr G. James (Youth Department). and Mrs W. G. Cole (Women’s Guild). The Rev. D. I. Robertson and Mr W. Edie spoke on behalf of the St. Clair portion of the circuit. The Revs. B. Metson and A. R. Jefferson congratulated Mr Tasker on his appointment, and also the congregation on having Mr and Mrs Tasker in the circuit. Mr Tasker thanked the members for their welcome. The choir contributed two anthems and Miss R. Kitchin sang a solo.
