SMALL NEUTRALS’ ANXIETY. LONDON, April' 16.—Tho Brussels correspondent of ‘ The Times ’ says many inhabitants of Luxemburg fearing invasion, have moved to Namur and other Belgian towns. The Germans are reported to have erected 21 pontoon bridges across the Moselle at intervals of 300 yards. A disquieting number of German tourists are entering Luxemburg. BRUSSELS, April 16.—Tho authorities have arrested a number of aliens. BERNE, April 16.—Tho Federal Council announced that the necessary steps were being taken for tho security of the nation. The announcement followed reports from Basle that 15 German divisions which were withdrawn from the region north of tho Switzerland frontier when Denmark, and Norway were invaded had returned. The Swiss General Staff is calling up further battalions. HERR HIMMLER WOUNDED. LONDON, April 16.—Tho ‘ Daily Mail’s ’ Stockholm correspondent says Herr Himmler (head of tho German Secret Police) is reported to have been shot through tho mouth in the streets qf Copenhagen last week. Details are lacking but it is stated - that - Herr Himmler reached Copenhagen the day after tho German occupation. It, is believed that ho was attacked on April 10. TASMAN AIR SERVICE. The question of a suitable date for tho inauguration of the Tasman Air Service was discussed to-day between representatives of tho New Zealand and Australian Governments and tho newly-appointed directors of Tasman Empire Airways Ltd, Though no official indication was forthcoming, it is more than probable the first flight will bo next week.—Wellington Press Association. FALL FROM BICYCLE. While riding along Albany street this afternoon, John Murray, aged 16, residing at 47 Church street, Mosgiel, was thrown from his bicycle when the front forks broke. Ho received concussion and abrasions necessitating his admission to tho Hospital. DOUBLE DROWNING FEARED. It is feared that a drowning fatality involving two people occurred this r afternooii at 'Taiori Mouth, where. a fishing boat capsized on tho bar. It is understood that it was returning homeward after the day’s work, when the accident happened. Two men are missing. There was very little sea runing, but at present the bar is very shallow, and it is thought that the launch, touched! ground while running in with tho sea behind it. WELLINGTON TROTS.
