TAIERI AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY

There was a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the above society held at Outram. Prior to the ordinary business reference was made to the deaths of Mr Robert Cullen (a staunch supporter of the society) and of Mr J. M. Fraser. The customary tribute was paid to their memory. It was reported to the meeting that representatives of the society had conferred with the Outram Domain Board and had made suitable arrangements for the occupation of the domain for the society’s purposes. The secretary (Mr A. J. Stewart) presented a balance sheet of the summer show. This showed a credit of £136 3s. The annual meeting was fixed for May 23.
