Finland has called up 10-year-olds in preparation for building new defences on the dictated frontiers. . Sweden announced that £2,000,000 would be. used for the purchase of 144 fighters from America. The Swedish Commander-in-Chief has formulated a plan for a network of forces and riflemen specially trained to fight parachute troops. Norway has approved a further £571,000 for the army “ because of international developments since the Budget was drawn up.”
