MOSGIEL COURT
YESTERDAY'S CASES The following cases were dealt with at the Mosgiel Court yesterday. Mr J. R. Bartholoniew, S.M., was on the bench. CIVIL CLAIMS. W. M. Taylor v. Roy George Bremner, on a judgment summons , for £4 3s Od, professional services rendered. —An order was made for the payment of the amount claimed with costs (10s}, in default four days’ imprisonment. ! David Gough v. George Revill claim, for £1 12s 6d, balance due on goods suplied.—Judgment was given for the plaintiff by default with costs (£1 3s 6d). MAINTENANCE. : After hearing evidence, the Magistrate made an attachment order against William Manderson, who was proceeded against by his wife for arrears of maintenance. The order was for 32s 6d a week on defendant’s wages, but the Magistrate advised him that he could apply for a reduction to 30s per week when the arrears (£lO 10s Od) had been paid off. I , TRAFFIC OFFENCES.
For failing to carry an inspection certificate on a vehicle carrying on a .goods service, Keogh .’ Bros, were find £1 10s Od, rfith costs (10s). Edrio Heads was fined £1 with costs (10s) for dangerous driving. Frederick Russell Frew was _ fined 10s with costs (10s) for driving a motor , vehicle not carrying a warrant of fitness. Harold Percival Reid was fined £1 with costs (10s) for driving without due care and attention.
