STATISTICS OF RECENT HEARING Objections to rateable values lodged by ratepayers before the sitting,of the Assessment Court for- Dunedin City totalled 1,034. Of that number 442 were struck out because of no appearance of the objectors . and 550 ■ were withdrawn. In the case of objection* which came to hearing the _ valuer’* figures were sustained in 52 instances and 10 reductions were made. The reductions totalled £ll2.
