FIRE BRIGADE ENLISTMENTS

AUXILIARY REPLACEMENTS ASKED FOR [Psa United Pebss Association.] WELLINGTON, March 15. Having lost 20 men through enlistments in the Forces, Superintendent Woolley expressed a desire at the Fire Board meeting to-day to reinforce the brigade strength by the appointment of six extra auxiliary men - , and a reserve auxiliary of 12 men to take the place of those leaving to serve in the Army. He did not propose to withhold permission to men who enlist, so long as there was a supply of men available to take their places, he said, and urged the hoard to consider replacements. , The matter will he considered at next meeting. The report from Superintendent Woolley is to he circulated to members for their study meanwhile.
