NO FEAR OF AIR ATTACK
LONDON UNDER STRESS OF WAR SIGNS OF NERVES ABSENT [Pee United Peess AssociationJ AUCKLAND. March 15.. “In a war of nerves, Britain is hound to win,” said Mr Clifford Hay, retiring Agent-General for New South Wales in London, when interviewed on the Monterey to-day. He is returning to Australia to become president of the Superannuation Boards of Now South Wales. He paid a fine tribute to the spirit of Londoners under stress of war. “ They display no fear of the vast air invasion that is threatened in March or April. This attitude is engendered by implicit confidence in the Air Force and its ability to deal with any contingency that m'ay arise. Although it would be revealing secrets to state the dispositions of the vast air defences and fighter units, it is sufficient to say that England is ready and has no fear of a surprise attack by the enemy.
